The Spanish rapid transit railway AVE is inaugurated from Puerato de Atcha
in front of the national Queen Sofia art center, Madrid to Seville.
In the club class of AVE, the private room of the seat of size at the same level as the first class of the airplane and a health drink by the waiter and the service of the light meal stick. The private room has four seats, and a gateleg table and the table side get the stands of the Europe-like,
and it is comfort preeminence even if it compares it with other European railroad services.
AVE travels in the daytime until the middle of the night in every one hour for every 30 minutes in morning and evening.
AVE which is indispensable to Spanish sightseeing
As for the rapid transit railway in EU area, French TGV, French to London Eurostar, Italian Eurostar, German ICE and Sweden X2000 are operated,
but there is no general standard.
In France, it is a plan to perform Spanish AVE and codesharing with the German ICE positively. In June, 2006, the French TGV connected with Paris to town Strasbourg of the border in the Rhine.
The German ICE started driving of the TGV to connect to Strasbourg in 2 hours dozens of minutes.
Production center Alsace district of the wine became very near, and the sightseeing route to Germany and Switzerland became convenient.
Construction and current development
Unlike the rest of the Spanish broad-gauge network, the AVE uses standard gauge,
permitting direct connections outside Spain in the future.
All AVE trains are currently operated by RENFE, the Spanish state railway company,
although it is possible that private companies may be allowed to run lines in the future.
The high-speed line connecting Madrid and Barcelona is in its final stage of construction
between Camp de Tarragona and Barcelona.
The initial section from Madrid to Lleida, via Zaragoza, opened on the 11 October 2003.
On the 18th of December 2006 the AVE started operating to Camp de Tarragona.
On the inauguration day of the Madrid-Tarragona line the Ministerio de Fomento reiterated
its promise that the AVE would reach Barcelona by the end of 2007.
When completed, the Madrid-Barcelona line should be one of the world's fastest long-distance trains
in commercial operation, with trains billed to reach a top speed of 320 km/h
and covering the 600 km (373 miles) between the two cities in 2.5 hours. It previously took almost six hours.
